PREP (Parish Religious Education Program)
is what is commonly referred to as “Sunday School”, "CCD", or "PSR".
PREP is offered for Kindergarten through 8th grade for students who do not attend a Catholic school. At St. Albert, PREP is held from 9:00-10:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings from September – May. We use the “FAITH FIRST” curriculum which is based on the 4 pillars of the Catechism. It is youth-friendly and easy to follow.
Opening Assembly will be August 24, 2014

It is required by the Archdiocese of Louisville that all adults who have regular contact (more than once) with children or youth participate in one of the Safe Environment Training Workshops. If you have already taken this course and have the card on file here at St. Albert then you do not have to re-take this course.
Each year our 6th and 8th graders take the ACRE Test. ACRE is a standardized test from the National Catholic Religious Education Association. The ACRE Test helps schools, parishes and diocesan leaders evaluate the faith knowledge and attitudes of students in Catholic schools and parish-based religious programs. ACRE provides faith knowledge questions related to religious beliefs, attitudes, practices, and perceptions. It measures religious beliefs as it relates to God, the Church, Liturgy and Sacraments, Revelation, Life in Christ, Church History, Prayer/Religious Practices and Catholic Faith Literacy.
In the 2011-2012 school year, St. Albert's PREP students scored above the national average in most areas and, in many areas, scored above the national average for Catholic school students. Most students showed a proficient understanding in the different subject areas with many showing an advanced understanding. If you are interested in a detailed report of the ACRE results please contact Debbie Koeberlein
