SPECIAL COLLECTIONS & SECOND COLLECTIONS
Throughout each calendar year, St. Albert the Great participates in several second and special collections. These collections are taken up at the discretion of the Archdiocese of Louisville for the aid of many organizations and charities across the globe. St. Albert seeks to do our part in supporting God’s creation as best we can and so we share with you the full list of annual special and second collections from the Archdiocese.
*Some collections are taken as true second collections where the offertory basket is passed among the congregation a second time. Most of these collections are “special” in that envelopes are mailed to parishioners and those who wish to give can complete the envelope with donation and return it to St. Albert either in the Sunday offertory collection, through the Parish Office, or by mail unless otherwise stated.
St. Albert Collections:
Every Fifth Sunday: St. Vincent dePaul. These funds directly benefit the St. Albert the Great Society of St. Vincent dePaul and the many persons that are need assistance with paying housing bills, groceries, and other necessities throughout the year. This is done as a Second Collection at Mass.
