Hand in Hand Ministries

St. Albert the Great supports Hand in Hand Ministries in a variety of ways.  Throughout the year, St. Albert’s sponsors several collections.  Donated Gently Used Toys are collected the weekend following Christmas each year.  These toys are donated to Hand in Hand Ministries for children in Appalachia, Kentucky.  The weekend of Epiphany, St. Albert’s collects household cleaning supplies (see attached list).  These items as well are donated to families in need in Appalachia.  Providing financial support to Hand in Hand Ministries is also part of the Social Concerns Ministry at St. Albert the Great.

Immersion trips to to Appalachia, Belize and Nicaragua are offered throughout the year.  Hand in Hand Ministries states “The toughest trip you will ever take will be one of the greatest weeks of your life!”

Hand In Hand Ministries
Our Mission: We build strong communities and transform lives through cultural immersion, education, housing and health care.
Our Inspiration: We are an organization driven by faith in a loving God who embraces all people.
Our Vision: We believe that building strong communities around the world begins at home. We strengthen our own community by opening hearts and minds to the needs of others through our unique immersion trip program. We provide resources for the economically vulnerable through our on-going programs that focus on safe housing, education, and health care.
In all that we do, we seek to build community, one person, one family at a time.
