Traveling Chalice Program
The Traveling Chalice Program, supported by the Archdiocese of Louisville Vocation Office, and sponsored by the Serra Club of Louisville, is a great way to inspire all parishoners: families, senior citizens, single adults, etc. to help work for more vocations. This program provides an opportunity for vocation visibility, inviting parishoners to pray for vocations in their individual homes. It also offers a unique opportunity for young people to view, touch, and revere the presence of the chalice.
Each week the chalice will be presented to a participating household of faith at the designated Mass. The household will display the chalice in a prominent place in their homes and use it as a focus for prayer for vocations throughout the week. At the end of the week, the chalice can be returned to the Vesting Room at any weekend Mass.
This is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to set aside time to contemplate the significance of the Church’s Eucharistic life, and the importance of fostering vocations.
