The Sacrament of the Eucharist

In the Eucharistic celebration, the Christian assembly reflects on the Word of God proclaimed in the scriptures, and experiences the mystery of Christ’s presence in the consecrated bread and wine, (the sacred body and blood). The Eucharist nourishes members of the assembly and strengthens them for Christian mission and service in the world.

First Communion

At St. Albert, children are generally prepared to celebrate 1st Communion in the Fall of 2nd grade. Children preparing for the sacrament engage in a process of study, prayer, and activities which invite them to explore the many meanings of Eucharist. Children will learn about the celebration of the Mass in order to participate in it in a meaningful and reverent manner.

At this time, we have not yet scheduled our 2021 First Communion Celebration.

We will do our best to create an environment with spiritual opportunities in preparing the children for the Sacraments that will provide them with catechesis as well as fond memories using the COVID-19 guidelines!

The 2020 Celebrations were scheduled with  3 special Masses dividing the students per homeroom to schedule them for their First Holy Communion:

Saturday,  November 7, 2020  at 2:00 pm for 2A;

Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm for 2B and

at 4:00 pm for 2C & PREP students on November 8.
