The Sacrament of Baptism

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism, candidates are freed from sin and reborn as Children of God, become members of Christ, and are incorporated into the Church.

Adult Baptisms

Adults are prepared for baptism through a process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). This process invites participants to pray, examine Catholic beliefs, and to begin to experience God’s love through the Catholic community. The process moves through several stages and culminates with the participant celebrating full communion with the Church at Easter. For more information, please contact Dawn Della Bella at 423-1590 ex 108 or ddellabella@stalbert.org.
