“Baptism is God’s most beautiful and magnificent gift.”
(Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1216)
Our journey of faith begins with the Sacrament of Baptism. Baptism “is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.” (CCC, 1213)
In the church today, through the Sacrament of Baptism – Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, continues to include and welcome all those who believe in him. Through the Sacrament of Baptism, we are made members of Jesus’ community of believers, the Church, and given the hope of eternal life. We become part of the Body of Christ and are united with all those who have been baptized in Christ.

Baptism for Infants and Children
St. Albert the Great Church offers the sacrament of baptism for infants and children under the age of 7 every other month. A parent/guardian needs to be baptized and confirmed Catholic and must be a registered member of our parish. We ask that the parents attend our Baptism Preparation Class which includes a rehearsal (free babysitting in the nursery is provided w RSVP). Sponsors, or Godparents, are to be at least 16 years of age and a Confirmed, practicing Catholic. If a Godparent is not a member of St. Albert, we will need a letter from their parish.
To register, complete the form below and return by mail or fax (502-394-9896) Contact Cindy McKinley: email – firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-425-3940 ext. 105
Our Baptisms have been suspended at this time in observance of the COVID 19 restrictions. We will post future dates as soon as we receive the approval from the Archdiocese.
